In 1977, Terri Jentz and Shayna Weiss went camping at Cline Falls State Park. They awoke in the middle of the night to a truck driving over their tent. The driver of the truck then got out and began attacking them with an axe. Jentz was left with several broken bones and a crushed lung while Weiss was left blind. Both women lived, however, their friendship failed due to Weiss's injuries and denial about the attack. In 1992, Jentz went back to Oregon to try and solve the crime herself. While talking to the locals, they admitted that they knew who had committed the crime. Jentz found evidence and brought it to the Oregon State Police, and she believes that through the investigation she conducted, she may have found a suspect.
