From 1935 to 1938 twelve bodies were dumped in a creek bed, seven men and five women. Most of the bodies found were those of homeless individuals and prostitutes. This occurred during the great depression and the individuals were not missed for months. The bodies were found decapitated, without heads, and most of them were found without arms and legs as well. In a few cases, these body parts were found in other locations. These murders remain unsolved to this day.
