The Coulthurst family and their crew were in their fishing boat in Alaska when someone shot them all. After killing them all with a .22 Calibur or rifle, he started the families boat, the Investor, and sailed it to a secluded bay about a mile outside of town-with the bodies aboard. He then returned the next day with a can of gasoline and set the boat on fire. The suspect was described as a male in his 20's with a pock marked face. The victims, Mark Coulthurst and his pregnant wife Irene were both 28 years old. Their other children that were on board were Kimberly age 5 and John age 4, along with 4 deckhands all in their teens. By the time law enforcement made it to the boat, there was black smoke still coming from the windows, but nobody was on board. This massacre remains unsolved today
